Graphic 45 Artisan Style Album in a Box

Mandy Gilbert has made this special box and album completely from scratch using mainly Graphic 45 Artisan Style paper pads , chipboard and black card.

The design of the box is unique and works beautifully with the papers.
4 Claw feet by Graphic 45 are used on the base of the box
and a set of two Graphic 45 Door knockers are used on the sides of the box lid.
Black card is used through out which really brings the colours of the papers out.

On the first pages mandy has used a pocket and tag from the Artisan Style

Mandy has also made some tags using Thinlits die set - Banners Fancy.  And created the pocket fronts using the negative part of the die cut from Spellbinders Belly Band One.

At the top of the photo above, you can see the box base and lid.
On these pages we have more tags and a belly band.

Mandy has created two pockets with the beautiful papers on the left hand page above
and a fold out page on the right page.

Lots more pockets and flaps to explore again on these pages
and each back to back page as a pull out large tag placed inside,
great for the large photos or a bit of journalling. All these pull out large tags have been edged with the lovely Spellbinders Bracket Borders #1 die.

All of the papers in the Artisan Style Graphic 45 pads match perfectly and some pages have
bits that you can cut out to use for tags and pockets.  I like the way Mandy has also created special tags using Thinlits - Pocket Card and Geo Tags and the Thinlits set - Basics by Rachael Bright.

Mandy has used a corner punch on some of the black bases for photos
and added a tab using a the Ek succcess punch 'for sale'.

Throughout the album Mandy has used small magnets and made lots of
pockets and flaps to explore that would be perfect for photos and journalling.

Also used in the album are cards from the coordinating ephemera pack, this is a pack of 32 cards
with images on that match perfectly with all the Artisan Style papers.

There is so much more to each page than I can describe to you
and this album would make a stunning gift for someone special,
that's if you could part with it after you had made it :)

Reindeer flight

We have some fabulous new large dies in the shop that cut your base card for you
I have used presscut stepper die #1 for this card.
You get the base die and then scalloped dies for the matting and layering.
I do like dies that save you from measuring and scoring.
To decorate the card I have used Birch tree with birds die
The reindeer is a Tim holtz die called Reindeer flight and I used a stamp called
Christmas story (by penny black)  to stamp on it with archival coffee ink.
The Merry Christmas is a presscut die that I have diecut in white card and then glittered.
I have also used chunky white frantage to create a snowy effect.

Merry Christmas

Today I have a Christmas card because that time of the year is starting to get nearer.
I am just loving this tree die by Impression obsession at the moment called
The tree is actually three separate dies so you can use as much as you like
and the birds are separate too, I think it will be in a lot of my cards this year.
For my card I have used the largest die-namics stitched rectangle frame and cut in white card.
I have used the piece from the centre of the frame to create a background with
distress inks and a blending tool.
To create the snow look I have sprinkled chunky white embossing enamel over it
and then heated with a heat gun from underneath the card.
If you heat on the top you stand a chance of blowing all the embossing powder off.
The Merry Christmas is a die by presscut and was cut in white card,
I then used versamark and stamp and bond to make it sticky,so that I could add glitter to it.
Distress inks I have used are-

front of the album.

through out the album called corner triple.

On the page above Lisa has created a pocket with some of the papers.

Lisa has added a tag to the one page and used a bird cage die on the next page called
Caged bird by Tim Holtz

The papers are so pretty that you do not need lots of extras, on this page lisa only added
little butterflies punched from a Martha Stewart punch called 3 in 1 classic butterfly.

Here is a side view

On the side of the box Lisa used a rustic label holder.

A large filigree metal corner is used on the bottom right of box.
Lisa has added some paper flowers and leaves to decorate the top corner.
Lisa will be running a class in the new year to make this beautiful box and album

Once Upon a Springtime Album by Lisa

We have another instore weekend retreat lined up for November this year and repeated in January 2016. Lisa will be teaching this amazing ‘album in a box’ which features another of the limited edition collector's packs from Graphic 45 - Once Upon a Springtime.

The album is actually part of a box. And the top of the box is just beautiful. Lisa likes her fussy cutting and you can tell by the amount of delicately cut out animals, flower and foliage she’s incorporated.

BOX TOP

The inside of the box then opens out to reveal lots of pretty pages. All with the same format and all using the gorgeous papers from the Once Upon a Springtime deluxe collector’s edition pack. There are magnets and flaps and pockets and all the cool album techniques Lisa loves to feature when creating her albums.

This beautiful mini album was created by Lisa for an all-day class at Sir Stampalot. The mini album is sewing themed and uses the 6x6 Garment District pad by Marion Smith Designs.

There's lots of fun techniques and products Lisa has used on this project, including the (unfortunately discontinued) Sewing Room die and on the edge Sewing die.

Love the handle, it's by The Hobby House and the Pearl Strings to accent the front cover.

Take a peek for yourself, isn't it cool? Each page is made from one 12x12 black sheet of Bazzill and folded so that you get flaps and pockets.

Enjoy :)
