Die Cutting Delight

Sizzix (Ellison) have provided the goods again by tempting us with not only a superb range of new designs but also some awesome new product ideas including Bigz Clear dies and some amazing 3d pop-up cards that can be made in 1 to 10 minutes.

New designs are themed for baby, birthday, boutique, floral and vacation (holidays!).
These will be making an appearance at your local craft store over the coming months.

Sorry no pictures of the dies were allowed on the stand however it wouldn't really be fair of me to tease you so I got the ok to publish one picture so you get an idea of whats to come...

Provocraft also released several new cartridges for the Cricut Personal cutters, these are pictured below with some samples.

Acrylic Vs Chipboard

Wow, you have never seen so much chipboard and acrylic under one roof as you can this year at CHA. OK, there was a large element of it last year at CHA but most companies are now doing either letters, complete words, plaques and albums (not just plain albums but ones in shapes of owls, carriages, trees, sandcastles)....

Admitadely all the samples on display in the manufacturer's booths looked just awesome. Here's some more photos.....

Something new i learnt, is that you can put acrylic (some types anyhow) through your cuttlebug/big shot and actually emboss it with the embossing folders we've all come to love and collect. Yeah, i know you're gonna all tell me you knew that but i didn't, can't wait to try it when we get back.

Right, let's move onto the stamps...
Penny Black did it again with another stunning display of card samples based on their new stamp designs (woodmounted and clear sets) along with 3 new stickeroo designs. here's some photos:

At long last, Penny Black have consolidated all their current and new designs into one general catalogue (they brought out a christmas compilation catalogue at the end of last year). Here's a pic of the new catalogue (should be due in a couple of weeks finger's crossed).

And i just had to show you this 'oh so cute' new range from Imaginisce.

Rubber stamps and 12x12 paper designs featuring cupcakes are still abound, along with owls and birds but also on the scene are martians, pirates and you'll never guess what - Paris Hilton!!! Yeah, she's bought out a range of scrapbooking papers and kits featuring her dog TinkerBell and some other stuff. Sorry guys, didn't spend long on that booth and didn't take any photo's to show you. She actually turned up to sign a couple of album kits but stayed for a whole 10 mins and then went again. Now can you really see her at home with her tape runner and offcuts of paper!!!???
